Using Overhearing and Rateless Coding in Disseminating Various Messages in Vehicular AdHoc Networks

Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) are emerging technologies with the primary purpose of establishing communications. Available protocols for data dissemination in VANETs faced issues like discontinuous connections, uncertainty about receiving messages, collisions, and latency. In this paper, a new method is presented advertising infotainment messages. The proposed has used store carry forward (SCF), rateless coding, handshake mechanism to solve collision problems, respectively. changing Road Side Unit (RSU) message over time its impact on network as step evaluating methods. Our results showed that if RSU happened very rapidly, performance will almost be eliminated; address problem due nature use overhearing been suggested. To best our knowledge, first VANET. Extensive accurate simulations show 2, 3, 5, 10 messages: (i) reduces overhead average 70% 63%, 48%, 3%, (ii) increases number delivered packets 5%, 22%, 75%, 84%, (iii) range 47%, 187%, 661%, 2962%, With mentioned improvements, can also significantly reduce latency disseminating messages between vehicles.
